After seeing that her allotment had been destroyed by trespassers, Carly Burd from the UK was devastated. The allotment, which had been dug by Carly herself to help feed her local community, was used to support a service that she had fondly named ‘A Meal On Me With Love,” alongside food sourced from elsewhere. To date, the service has helped to feed over 1600 people, according to a video posted by Burd on the popular video-sharing platform TikTok.

Upon seeing the heart-wrenching video, members of the public couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Now, thousands of people have donated to her Go Fund Me page, with well-known entrepreneur and businessman Steven Barlett even donating a generous £2000 towards the cause. As of writing, over 13,000 people have made donations in hopes of helping Burd rebuild her allotment to its former glory. If that wasn’t heartwarming enough, total donations have now reached well over £227,000 pounds, smashing through Burd’s original goal of £4,000.
