Jeff Bezos’ Ex-Wife MacKenzie Scott Donates $84.5 Million To Girl Scouts

Formerly married to Jeff Bezos, American novelist and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has recently donated a large sum of $84.5 million dollars to Girl Scouts of the USA, an organization that helps their members to build a better world. The money donated will help to expand access to STEM exploration, including areas of interest such as coding, aeronautics, and sustainability. It will also help to support diversity, equity, mental health and well-being.

“We are so appreciative of MacKenzie Scott’s gift to Girl Scouts. This is a great accelerator for our ongoing efforts to help girls cultivate the skills and connections needed to lead in their own communities and globally. The support from all our donors, including this generous donation from Ms. Scott, is critical in delivering on our work of reimagination and transformation. We’re excited to prove how Ms. Scott’s investment in girls will change the world," said CEO of GSUSA Sofia Chang.
